Image Edits

Click the photo button in the editor’s sub-toolbar (or press E) to enter Edit Image mode. Edits are provisional until you commit: Apply bakes the whole session as a single undoable step, Cancel rolls everything back.

Crop

A crop selection covers the image when you enter the mode. Drag the handles or move the rectangle, then Apply. Expanding past the image edge fills with the blank-canvas color from Settings.

Rotate & flip

Rotate 90° or mirror horizontally / vertically with the buttons in the footer pill. Three rotations get you 270°.

Resize

Opens a width / height dialog with an aspect-ratio lock (on by default). Annotations scale along with the image.

Auto-enhance

One click runs macOS’s auto-adjustment — tone curve, vibrance, highlight / shadow recovery. Clicking again compounds the effect.

Straighten document

Detects a page, whiteboard, or screen in a photo and perspective-corrects it into a flat rectangle. Useful for photographed paperwork.
