Getting Started

PowerPic lives in your menu bar (the camera icon) — there’s no Dock icon.

Install

Download the latest .dmg, open it, and drag PowerPic to your Applications folder. The build is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it launches without Gatekeeper warnings.

Permissions

• Screen Recording — required to capture your screen. Granted on first capture; macOS applies it after you quit and reopen the app.
• Accessibility — required only if you enable the “Override native screenshot (⌘⇧4)” option. A custom shortcut like ⌘⇧6 needs no extra permission.

First capture

Click the menu bar icon → Capture, or press ⌘⇧6 from any app. Drag a rectangle over the area you want and release. The selection opens in the editor.
